Sakiko lives on her own, far from average society, and with only a few couriers and priests who know how to reach her, she likes it that way. Average society just isn't for her, in her mind. It's all… so much.

While of course, Sakiko's stubbornness can easily bite her in the ass, the conviction and determination that it gives her proves invaluable often enough for it to feel like a good thing fairly often.
➖ Short Fused
Sakiko gets fairly mad, fairly easily about anything she's particularly passionate about, and even a few things she's not. At the very least she has enough bark to back up her bite.
➖ Coarse
Sakiko, being solitary as she is, feels no such inclinations to things usually thought of as basic respect, such as being strict in what names she calls others or being inclined to meld in with others. It leaves a lot of prides butthurt, and doesn't tend to be seen favorably. Unless someone needs to argue with a priest that is, then, she's a go-to.

Both physically and emotionally, Sakiko is a complete mess. Even her clothing is worn completely wrong, and she has a tendency towards being scatterbrained. If her demeanor doesn’t leave a bad impression, this is usually somewhere abouts the straw that breaks the camel’s back for leaving a bad impression.

-Where are you from?
“An old farm out in one of the rural bits of Gale Spring. Maybe it's defunct now. Not sure.”
-What was your childhood like?
“... Pretty terrible, if I'm being honest. My parents decided to worship some stupid doll like it was worth anything, saying it was a miracle it brought me to them and blah blah blah. As if they ever cared for me. What a joke. They didn’t even do the bare minimum and TAKE care of me! I got myself out, I remember the priest calling it a hinnagami curse or something. I call it being crazy. I tried to be a priest n stuff, but it was so booooring. I think I heard maybe one god… thing. And I was totally daydreaming so I don’t think that counts. So I followed an old Sōhei around and annoyed him until he said he’d train me instead! Old man’s like… totally retired now, and was awful, but I’m not dead! And that’s what really matters!”
-What are some of your interests and how did you come to obtain them?
“Honestly, I'll do just about anything when I'm on the move! I'm not too picky, I love adventure and new things, so… oh! And fighting! Or if you’re being more formal, “sparring”. But I guess given the job where that came from is probably obvious…”
-Has anything else happened to you that shaped you as a person?
“Other than my parents? … Being saved from them, honestly. Did more for me than they ever could. My convictions, my strength, my courage, everything. It came from leaving them behind. It's sad, maybe, but that's just how it is.”
-Where do you spend most of your time now?
“Working. Wandering. Exploring. I guess I usually stay in Gale Spring, but I'll go anywhere that needs me. That's fine. The other villages are really nice… sometimes I wanna go out more, honestly…”

Design notes:
Sakiko has her shirt layers layered incorrectly and that is on purpose! The strings she uses to fasten them being next to each other bothers her
Her outer layer not having patterning is also Purposeful and a reference to some Edo Samurai Shenanigans. Outside of festival wear don't change this even for alt outfits pls. The inside has an embroidery of an ascending shiny Magikarp!
Other:
Because of her voice, stature, and clothing, Sakiko is very often mistaken for being a younger boy or is, sometimes, treated as neither. She corrects the age part, but never cares about the gender part. She also just shrugs when asked which she is.

She Purrs like a Dragon, and it sounds unnaturally steady, not dislike the humm of a jet plane. Unlikely anyone has heard this since she was a small child.

"Food, I guess? Idk. It's kinda expensive and no one really invites me to em. So I either don't remember the date or don't have the money to go. And I'm not taking pity handouts for a *festival*, I'm sure there's better things I could do." ((She is jealous of everyone else having fun that she doesn't get out of it but don't tell her how blatant it is))

Sakiko is meant to be a very classic mysterious yet fantastical baby deal a la Kaguya or momotaro ((Her (unknowingly) being a dragon is actually INCREDIBLY important in her original context. But here it's jus cuz I wuv dragons and garchomps)), as well as a play on my favorite horror troupe, the creepy doll girl. Flipping it on it's head for the reason the character is scary being because of violent tendencies and the absolute subjugation of the extremely supernatural thing that haunts her most and ruined her life through brute force instead of being controlled or trapped with it. And ofc this is just an au of that If there's any characters she's based off of idk tho it's been too long LOL
