Xi Wangmu looks like a child. Acts like a child, bratty and brash, drawing herself to her full, impressive height of five feet and zero inches. Is she a child? In her own words: “No, no, NO, absolutely NOT!!!” She’s a lady, and she’ll thank you to treat her so! As a confident, fully independent adult (child), Xi Wangmu demands to be respected as an equal. Any and all attempts to treat her as the youth she is NOT will be treated with the contempt it deserves. Even if it’s help she needs, she will not lower herself to accept it until she has earned it of her own right.
Unfortunately for her, this makes her very easy to tease.

Short-tempered even on a good day, Xi Wangmu angers at the slightest provocation — or even no provocation at all. While she has a tendency to hold grudges, what she ends up holding onto can seem very random. For example, if someone kicks an apple out of her hand, she’ll fixate on how her LUNCH ended up on the GROUND and not the more obvious insult of someone kicking her. Hey. Her principles might not match what others think is common sense but, by hell or high water, she’ll stand firm and refuse to bend.
Like thievery. What? Stealing things is wrong? Have you considered: she’d put the money to far better use than these fools would, wasting gold and silver on frivolous nonsense. Xi Wangmu has plans, you see, lofty and grand, none that anyone would ever understand (and not just because she doesn’t want to explain herself).
Because with money comes power— and with power, comes liberation.
A liberation from her past, and all that weighs down those barely grown shoulders.
A liberation that would taste sweeter than any caramel candy she'd swipe off merchants.
A liberation to love what she could not before.
Because Love is anger.
Love is vengeance.
History
Everyone in this world is pathetic.
Handmaidens who complain about their lecherous masters, only to go right back to work the next day, tongues lying mute as wandering hands smack their behinds. Civil servants that fawn and simper, bowing so low their heads scrape the ground, all for the scrap of a chance at being promoted. Merchants too busy trailing wealthy customers to notice the clever hands reaching towards their wares, snagging a prize and disappearing along with the merchant’s potential sales.
Cowards. Each and every one of them is a coward and a fool, lowering themselves until they lie flat on the floor like a mat, smiling pathetically as others walk above them without even looking down.
Xi Wangmu would never put up with such atrocious treatment. No, she’d send them to the floor with a single strike of her hand, no matter if they were a lord or a peasant, a master or a slave.
Or, at least, the girl borrowing this folklore’s name would.
So what if she was born into what others perceive as misfortune? So what if she ended up entangled with sides of man that she wasn’t ever supposed to? She’d rise above it all, higher than the clouds, and triumph over every damn thing that tried to get in her way. Thus, the little thief sharpened her claws, snatching hard-earned victories away from the talons of Fate. But one can escape neither Fate nor Consequence for long.
Thefts pile up. Eyes turn watchful. Before long, Xi Wangmu stole from a person too important to be crossed, Consequence catching her red-handed and calling for the city guard. Tch. Unfortunate. Stowing away on a ship, she strategically retreated for the time being (hid from the manhunt). Except they just wouldn’t stop looking for her. And, well, since she was here already, why not take a little nap? Not like they were going to find her anytime soon, her spot was just・that・discreet— as it is for someone of her caliber!
… Only for her to poke her head out of the crate hours later, and stare blankly at the endless expanse of blue that now surrounded her.

The ship did not land in a different Jade Imperium port. No, it had landed in Radiant Harbor instead, depositing one confused and more than slightly irritated litten on its shores.
Whatever. That’s one way to escape Consequence, at least. Xi Wangmu can work with this. She will work with this, just as she’s always done, for Fate will not have its merry way with her just yet. Not when her grand ambitions have yet to reach resolution.

There, is where our lives continue on, in peace and in harmony." ― Considering she was an oc that existed before pokimono, she's got both stuff changed and unchanged, but I'd say 80% of the lore remains unchanged lol. She's too much of an [ RP To Find Out ] character im sorry... I put lots of love into her though, so I hope it WILL get uncovered eventually :] Love is anger, love is vengeance! :] What I can indeed say is that her whole personality was based off of the trope of "kid that had to grow up too fast too quickly"! Still immature, still green in their ears, but with a terrible mix between experience and expectations, that grey area between being a child and being an adult... puberty² basically LOL. I've always been fond of child characters that are headstrong in their own way of life, and add in a bit of chuunibyouisms because I wanted to call back to her original godling incarnation, and voila! Don't let her catch you seeing her like this though, because she WILL hunt you down until you forget. As for routine― I wanna be evil and hit another FOIC moment, but I'll yap a bit... If she's under a roof she'll double-check every window and every door, and simply sit on any given "bed-like furniture"; if she's under the stars, she's just going to try and Not Fall Asleep. Only when it's daytime, will she move to a tree branch or somewhere on the streetsides and sneak a honk shoo mimi.

I think she gets like, even crankier. Her tail is frizzing up, her hair is moist, after all, she hates water! Sucks to be her. Surrounded by water. Point and laugh.
