Raijuta is a woman of action. Once she decides something needs to be done, hesitation is almost physically uncomfortable to her. She would rather make a flawed attempt and learn from it than stand around discussing possibilities forever.
She is naturally energetic and expressive, with an enthusiasm that can make her seem almost incapable of sitting still. She throws herself into training, competitions, repairs around the dojo, and even mundane chores with the same intensity she brings to a fight. Raijuta has difficulty accepting that something may simply be beyond her reach. This stubbornness is both her greatest strength and her greatest weakness.
She is also extremely nosy. A mysterious noise coming from the neighboring room? She's investigating. Two students whispering after training? She wants to know why. Someone looking troubled? She's already asking questions before they've decided whether they want to talk.
Raijuta hates losing. Not because she considers losing shameful, but because every defeat reminds her of the one thing she fears most: that she may never be capable of carrying her family's legacy in the way her predecessors did.
Like many Jolteon, Raijuta occasionally accumulates excess electrical energy, triggering sudden, uncontrollable bursts of energy. When this happens, she takes off at full speed, racing around the mountain, incorporating ridiculous wall kicks, leaps, spins, and sharp turns. She insists these episodes are simply "spontaneous conditioning exercises," despite her students recognizing the telltale static, spiky fur, and twitching ears that precede them. She is especially embarrassed when her zoomies interrupt serious situations.
Raijuta instinctively reacts to mundane situations as though they were combat scenarios. If someone drops something, she catches it before it hits the floor. If someone throws something toward her, she catches it without looking. If somebody accidentally bumps into her, she pivots out of the way with perfect footwork.
If a fly gets too close, she will swat at it with the precision of a trained fighter.
If someone sneaks up behind her, they may find themselves on the floor before Raijuta has even realized she reacted. She isn't showing off. She genuinely doesn't notice that she's doing it.
History
Arashitani family has practiced martial arts on Scorched Mountain for generations. Their dojo was founded by Raijuta's great-grandfather, a Rotom-descended martial artist who developed Shinsoku-ryū (神速流), the Divine Speed Style. The family's Rotom heritage granted them Levitate, an invaluable advantage in the Ground-type-dominated terrain of Scorched Mountain that became deeply intertwined with their martial tradition.
Raijuta was born to a Rotom father and an Eevee mother. Though her family never intentionally treated her differently, she grew up feeling like the odd one out. Her father's side were Electric-types who could naturally Levitate, seemingly perfectly suited to both the mountain and Shinsoku-ryū, while Raijuta was an Eevee like her mother. She came to believe that becoming an Electric-type would make her more like her father—and finally make her feel that she belonged.
Determined to obtain a Thunder Stone, Raijuta refused to ask her parents for one. Instead, she took every unpleasant job available around the village, carrying supplies, clearing dangerous paths, delivering packages, and performing difficult manual labor. She saved every coin despite coming home exhausted, filthy, and sometimes badly beaten by the hazards of the mountain until she had enough.
One night, without telling her parents, Raijuta used the Thunder Stone and evolved into a Jolteon. She was ecstatic. She was finally an Electric-type like her father. Her secret did not last long. When her father discovered what she had done, he was furious that she had made such an important decision without telling him. But seeing how desperately she wanted to follow his path, he finally told her:
"If you want to be Electric so badly, then you will do it properly."
He formally initiated her into Shinsoku-ryū, teaching her its forms, philosophy, and two paths: Raishō, the Principle of Motion, and Meishō, the Principle of Stillness. Raijuta threw herself into training with her usual explosive enthusiasm, finally learning the family art directly from her father.
Yet becoming a Jolteon did not give her Levitate. She excelled at Raishō's explosive techniques but remained unable to perform techniques dependent on leaving the ground. Her father's training could teach her the art, but he could not give her an ability she had never inherited.
A couple of years ago, her father departed on a ten-year pilgrimage to study forgotten martial traditions and deepen his understanding of Shinsoku-ryū, leaving Raijuta to care for the family dojo. For the following decade, she has trained, taught students, maintained the dojo, and studied her family's ancient scrolls while waiting for his return.
During her research, Raijuta discovered an obscure passage describing a technique that could manipulate electromagnetic forces to overcome gravity. The passage is incomplete and written in archaic terminology, with no clear instructions for performing it. Whether the technique was ever successfully mastered or merely theorized by an ancestor is unknown. Raijuta, however, believes it may finally provide the answer she has spent her life searching for.

Fighting style: Shinsoku-ryū (神速流) — Divine Speed Style
DOJOKUN - Style philosophy:
First, purpose in motion.
First, stillness in action.
First, timing in victory.
First, character in strength.
OVERVIEW:
Founded by Raijuta's great-grandfather, Shinsoku-ryū is a traditional karate style built upon the belief that true speed is not measured by movement alone, but by perfect timing. The style teaches that decisive victory comes from knowing when to advance and when to remain still, balancing explosive mobility with unwavering composure. Every action, whether moving or standing still, is deliberate. Nothing is wasted, and the culmination of that discipline is perfect timing.
ONE PRINCIPLE: TWO PATHS
The principle: Decisiveness (決断 / Ketsudan)
Do not hesitate. Commit to every move.
⚡ Raishō (雷掌) — Thunder Palm: The path of Motion
Raishō teaches initiative, acceleration, and overwhelming momentum. Its techniques rely on swift footwork, explosive body mechanics, and electrified strikes to seize the initiative before an opponent can react.
🌑Meishō (冥掌) — Nether Palm: The path of Stillness
Meishō embodies patience, composure, and the gathering of spirit. Rather than relying on constant motion, these techniques teach that the greatest power often comes from remaining perfectly still until the decisive moment arrives.

Connections2

Kaito IshikawaRaijuta Arashitani
Back when Kaito still lived at Scorched Moutain, sometimes, during Dojo Championship, he would watch her fight by the distance and be admired by her skill but never interacted directely before. They got to know each other more and become friends when Kaito was refusing to fight with a group of guys and Rajuita came in to help him.

Kin KonRaijuta Arashitani
Kin darted inside the family dojo one day, chased by some ne'er-do-wells. Raijuta, in her infinite awesomeness, aided Kin by throwing JUSTICE in their faces. Kin thinks she's super cool and strong, and if she knew what swooning was, she'd be doing it to Raijuta.
Question of the Day2
QOTD #3Describe your going to bed routine. Do you have any quirks in your sleeping habits? How do you snore?
Raijuta is as disciplined as they come, Before bed, she walks through the dojo and checks that everything is in order. Training weapons are put away, mats are straightened, doors are secured. Then she meditates like clockwork, sitting in seiza and calming her body down, says her prayers and goes to bed. At first she lays down perfectly straight...but as the night goes on she tosses and turns erratically, sleeping in all sorts of crazy and unusual positions! She snores a little bit, and it sounds more like a cat thrilling or chirping than snoring.
QOTD #2What would you do on a rainy day?
Raijuta loves rainy days! The moment Raijuta hears thunder, whatever she was doing becomes completely irrelevant. She'll stop mid-sentence, ears shooting upright as the first rumble rolls across the mountain. Her eyes light up. She bolts out into the rain without even bothering to properly prepare, tearing up the mountain trails with absolutely no regard for how soaked she's getting. Mud splashes up her legs. Rainwater drips from her fur. She doesn't care. If anything, she seems to be having the time of her life. She'll run just because she can—up steep trails, around boulders, through puddles, occasionally scrambling up rocky slopes simply because she saw a route that looked fun, the higher to the sky she can get. If there isn't a thunderstorm, there might as well be one as she releases her static eletricity as she dashes up the mountain. In rainy days Raijuta becomes her most playful self!
